Officially Open
HOPEtopia is an interactive children’s museum, learning center and activity hub that has been attracting children and adults alike. It officially opened its doors to the public in April 2026. Instead of having a formal launch, HOPEtopia simply began accepting bookings for group visits, the first of which took place on April 7. Prior to the official opening, the museum hosted small groups of friends of NVC as test runs.
Inspired
Managed by NVC Foundation, HOPEtopia features a whimsical environment with the theme of ecological stewardship. It was inspired by the book Our Common Home: A Laudato Si’ Story by Bernadette Silvana who was in turn inspired by the encyclical of Pope Francis on environmental responsibility. Thankfully, the author granted NVC Foundation permission to bring Our Common Home to life.
A Guided Adventure
Bacolod-based actress and storyteller Chart F. Motus takes visitors on a guided adventure through the museum which aims to promote not just ecological stewardship, but also the love for reading. Part of the museum tour is a visit to the museum’s cozy reading nook which has wide selection of children’s books. Fortunately, NVC received many donations of children’s books. In addition to coming for guided tours, children can also sign up for Reading Room activities.
