Team Maddie in 2018
Young Maddie and the rest of Team Maddie (her dad and friends) regularly run in the annual Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC. To celebrate Maddie’s completing the 2018 marathon, her family commissioned the NVC Artisans of Hope to make a piece portraying her participation in the race. This piece made of Nespresso capsules, ceramic tiles and eggshells is proudly on display at the family’s North Carolina home. It’s a wonderful reminder of one of many milestone’s in this intrepid little lady’s life.
Beautiful decorative accents from around the world and from the Philippines in particular can be found throughout the family’s lovely home. Hanging on another wall is this colorful piece featuring a jeepney.
