Unveiling

Citadines Bacolod City (part of the Ascott Group) is the newest and largest hotel/serviced residence in the city. It has 200 rooms as well as wonderful dining and recreational facilities. On June 14, Citadines Bacolod officially opened its doors to the public with a fun-filled launch.

This official photo of the poolside of Citadines Bacolod City is shared from the property’s FB page.

That same day, two huge murals which are on display in the hotel were also unveiled to the public. Our Artisans of Hope made both of these murals using broken tiles, upcycled Nespresso coffee capsules, capiz trimmings and broken eggshells.

A Mural of seven Negros Occidental festivals including the famous Masskara Festival of Bacolod hangs behind the Front Desk. And guests can marvel at Buglas (the pre-Hispanic name for Negros), an impressive 10 x 20-square foot mural. It showcases images from the past, present and imagine future of the island. 16 Artisans worked for four months to finish this project.

Art with a Heart

These commissioned pieces enabled us to give 15,000 Mingo Meals to undernourished kids. Thank you to Citadines Bacolod City for this amazing opportunity and vote of confidence in the Artisans of Hope!
