NVC Foundation received an Outstanding Auxiliary Social Welfare and Development Agency Award from the Department of Social Welfare and Development. The DSWD Standards Bureau awarded NVC for its “exemplary provision of social protection programs and services to the disadvantaged sectors of society”. In addition to a certificate of recognition and a plaque, NVC received P50,000 from DSWD. “We are thankful and grateful for the recognition of NVC Foundation and for the cash gift that will be used to feed more undernourished children”, NVC president Millie Kilayko said.

The awarding ceremony took place at the Madison Hotel in Quezon City on November 28. NVC Executive Director Inah J. Uytiepo received the award on behalf of the foundation.
