On December 18, we held an online charity Christmas concert to raise funds for Mingo Meals for kids. Poorna Chakraborty organized this event. This is not the first time for Poorna to volunteer for the foundation. She had previously worked as a volunteer co-organizer for an essay-writing contest for the youth.

Poorna is a very talented singer herself so in addition to organizing this concert, she performed in it.

She also got her friends and teachers at her school to contribute videos. In addition to that, her singing instructors who have graced many stages abroad, volunteered to sing as well.

Tara Tulshyan, another Young NVC Volunteer offered to play the cello for the concert and friends of NVC members also volunteered to sing. We managed to put together a rather impressive line-up of talented performers including some well-known professionals.

Viewers tuned in to show their support and we received many generous donations for Mingo Meals. The concert raised funds for 3,100 Mingo Meals. Globe Telecom provided Lazada online shopping vouchers as prizes for us to raffle off to our donors. As we have a Lazada store, some winners chose to use the vouchers to buy more Mingo Meals.
