An Annual Affair
On July 20th, officers, trustees and members of NVC Foundation met at the Agape Hall of the Carmelite Monastery in Bacolod for the annual General Assembly. This is where we held our Organizational Assembly when the foundation was first established and where we met for all our General Assemblies except for during the pandemic. We discussed the year that was and our next steps.
Fourteen Years Strong!
A month after the General Assembly, NVC turned 14. We didn’t have a grand celebration because every day we can fulfill our mission to serve is already a celebration. However, we made sure to honor seven entities that have been instrumental in our planning and implementation of programs to lift young children out of stunting and malnutrition. We sent each of them our recognition in the form of plaques with woven cubes made from Mingo wrappers which were crafted by the women of our partner the Blastik Project at PeacePond.
Here is a list of the individuals and groups were recognized:
- the Iloilo Provincial Government (provincial category)
- Victorias City, Negros Occidental (city category)
- Lemery, Iloilo (municipality category)
- The Management Association of the Philippines (organization category)
- Sen. Franklin Drilon (individual)
