A report from Guiuan Disaster Relief Coordination, Eastern Samar:

A total of 52 new Peter Project fiberglass boats were distributed to fishermen in Sulangan in Guiuan, Eastern Samar. Aside from the fishing boats, GDRC also provided fishing kits which contains fishing nets, ropes, lamps and slippers from KEEN shoe company. These fishermen lost their boats when super typhoon Yolanda struck last Nov. 8 2013.   For many months, these fishermen lost their means of livelihood and now, with the help of NVC in coordination with GDRC, they can start earning for their families again!   Big thanks to the Negrense Volunteers for Change for choosing us to be part of these wonderful blessing!
